Karen Albert was born and raised in Southern California, by a mother and father who were both very musically inclined. Her Mother sang in Sweet Adelines and her father who played several instruments and, in his early years, performed in several bands throughout Europe and then in Barbershop Quartets throughout California.

 

While enjoying a strong influence of music and singers, karaoke was Karen’s sole form of entertaining. It wasn’t until much later in life that Karen launched into her singing career, joining a band in 2010. Since joining her first band “The Ray Bandini Revue”, in 2010, a three-female vocalist band who performed every Saturday night for close to 4 years in Venice Beach, California, Karen has enjoyed singing with various bands in other areas such as “The Midnight Train Band” in Dallas, Texas and now in Denver, Colorado as the female lead vocalist with “The Littleton Station Band”, which she joined in 2017. 

 

Karen enjoys singing a wide array of songs from various eras and genres but is most well known for her raspy vocal sounds of Janis Joplin and the likes.
